25th Annual RJB New Years Day bike ride – a leisure excursion including watching the iconic Polar Bear Plunge at Bradford Beach. After that craziness we meander about the East Side and Downtown for a duration dependent on the weather. The ride ends at RJB with beverages and chili.

More fun than you’re supposed to have on a bicycle

Saturday Oct 29th

Go Cyclo This Halloween! “7 stop ride” starts at 9am at Cafe Hollander – Downer Avenue.

The ride begins at 9:00AM; though bikers are free to join up at any stop throughout the day. There is no cost to join the ride – and all riders will receive drink specials and other “treats” at the stops as well as be eligible to win the “best costume” contest voted by their co-riders.

The crawl will make the following stops:

9:00AM Café Hollander-Downer Avenue – 2608 N. Downer
10:45AM Ben’s Cycle – 1018 W. Lincoln
11:40AM Café Centraal – 2306 S. Kinnickinnic
12:55PM Café Benelux – 346 N. Broadway
(including games such as bobbing for apples relays, barrel bump and infinity spiral across the street in the Milwaukee Public Market lot)
2:15PM Trocadero – 1758 N. Water
3:20PM Nomad World Pub – 1401 E. Brady
4:40PM Café Hollander-Downer Avenue – 2608 N. Downer

Raffle prizes opportunities at each location for a $1 minimum donation to the Bike Federation of Wisconsin.

Tyranena Bike Octoberfest

9th annual event.

This charity fun ride has 25, 50 & 70-mile routes passing through beautiful Jefferson & Dodge Counties, beginning and ending at Tyranena Brewing Company in Lake Mills.

SAG support and rest areas with snacks, restrooms and refreshments also provided during the ride. Each participant receives a commemorative Tyranena Oktoberfest Bike Ride T-shirt, two drink tickets for beer, soda or bottled water, and a ticket for a complete dinner.

Free tours of the brewery will be offered in the afternoon, when riders have returned from routes and Trek Bicycles will be hosting our first rest stop at their world headquarters in Waterloo, Wisconsin. Riders are able to take a historical and Lance Armstrong memorabilia tour at this time. (All 3 routes will use this rest stop.)

After the ride, participants and spectators are invited to enjoy live music performance from 1:00 to 10:30 pm. Join the fun!

Tour de Cheese – Monroe,WI

The Tour de Cheese is a Bike Ride to cheese factories in Green County. Choose a fully supported route of 15, 30, or 60 miles. The ride begins in Downtown Monroe, WI and ends at Chili Fest and benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County.

Meet at Trocadero (1758 North Water Street, Milwaukee) January 28 at 7PM to hear and see what the Spring Classics are all about. Presented by Phil Van Valkenberg who has promoted this trip for over a decade.

This trip will include watching the Tour of Flanders, Scheldeprijs and Paris – Roubaix.

Annual New Year Ride

Ride in the New Year and check out the “Polar Bears” at Bradford Beach and then a liesure jaunt around town(duration depends on weather). Don’t bring your Madone 6.5 as fat tires will be more appropriate. Meet at RJB at 11AM January 1. After the outing we assemble back at RJB for chili and beverages.
